ACCREDITATION:

The Ministry of Health & Social Welfare of the Republic of Poland, which is the supervising authority of The Medical University of Lodz, has approved the 4 & 6-Year Medical School Programs in English, stating that the graduates shall obtain a "Diplom Lekarz" (Academic Medical Diploma), which entitles them to apply to internship/residency programs in facilities in the United States, Canada, Poland, all EU countries, as well as many other countries of the world.The graduates of The Medical University of Lodz are eligible for licensure in the United States and Canada. Each state requires ECFMG Certification, which includes passing Steps 1, 2 & 3 of the USMLE, passing the CSA (Clinical Skills Assessment Test), and having successfully completed three years of residency training. It is necessary for students to request from each individual state, in which they desire to practice, the licensing application, and rules and regulations for medical licensure in that particular state. Students are responsible for abiding by the requirements for physician licensure as established by the State Medical Licensing Boards in the states in which they intend to obtain a medical license. Students interested in practicing medicine outisde of the United States and Canada, must meet the licensing requirements of the country in which they desire to practice.

The Medical University of Lodz, in Lodz, Poland, is fully recognized and listed by both the W.H.O. (World Health Organization),
http://www.who.int/hrh/wdms/en and the ECFMG (Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates, http://www.ecfmg.org/, as an approved medical school, thereby permitting all Medical University of Lodz students/graduates to sit for the USMLE. Additionally, The Medical University of Lodz is fully approved by the U.S. Department of Education, under TITLE IV of the Higher Education Act, (Code: OPE ID Number: 03850500), for U.S. Government-sponsored financial aid for its students, such as subsidized and unsubsidized Stafford Loans.
