STUDENT SERVICES:

HEALTH:
|
All newly-matriculated students are required to obtain health insurance for the
first two-months of the academic calendar year. After this initial period, all
students are then required to be insured by the NFZ (National Health Fund), at
a cost of $14 per month, payable to The Medical University of Lodz.
|
ORIENTATION:
|
Each new class, and all transfer students, are scheduled for a three-day
Orientation/Inauguration period, which allows scheduled time for registration,
and advising activities, introduction to The Medical University of Lodz Administration, Faculty, physical facilities, teaching and learning philosophies,
policies and procedures. Additionally, during this period, Student
Government members are available to introduce new students to life on
campus, and to answer questions regarding The Medical University of Lodz
experience.

STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES:
|
The Commission of Foreign Affairs at the Medical University of Lodz, with its
four elected student representatives, provides foreign students with any
assistance needed regarding academic or personal questions. There are also
4 Student Clubs available to enjoy music, drinks, and friendly conversation.

LIBRARY SERVICES:
|
The Library System of the Medical University of Lodz offers access to its printed and on-line journals, catalogs, databases, internet services, and paid copying services for all students. The Library also has available a list of reference volumes, as well as a list of books that the various departments recommend to students for a particular academic year.
Students can sign up for an EMAIL account through the Library Service,
and can also utilize the Library's Reading Room, Circulation Desk, and
Scientific Information Department. This email account becomes the
communication/main link between the students and faculty/administration,
as well as the means by which students have access to many lecture notes.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
|
All accepted applicants will be notified prior to the start of the academic
year regarding the various housing options available to them.
